Why Business? 🚀
26 Oct 2025
I’m fed up with working on projects which I don’t have full control of. Control here means to have full flexibility and ability to unleash my capacity in as many domains as possible. I crave the “true feeling” of working on a project which:
- I am responsible for complete control & responsibility in terms of project delivery and software quality.
- I can take responsibility for selling directly to people (customers or other businesses).
Those are major reasons but there are other reasons as well like —
- To work on projects which are meaningful to me. At this time of life, I want to work most on both customer utility, sales and business development.
- I’m bored of coding so maybe doing business will spice up my software journey and hopefully life.
- I’m tired of fixing codebases of other people.
- I want to write frontend code of applications in Svelte.
- I don’t want to work with react because I don’t like:
- default state management with useState though solutions like Zustand and all Polimander’s state management solutions seem much better to me. (Svelte has a brilliant baked-in solution).
- Routing/router solutions like react-router-dom (which every project uses) is not intuitive as per my frontend developer experience. (Svelte has a folder based router).
- Naming each component in both file name and exported function name seems too much to do to me. (Svelte doesn’t have this problem).
- I really want to and am curious about doing business on my own.
I carefully used the term “business” here though the term “startup” is very much common for people trying a business. I personally don’t like the term and Ashner Grover puts this in words better than me — “There is no such thing as a startup and Dhandha (business) is something that makes profit.”
Thanks.
